Treat yourself to an ORIGINAL iconic piece by Cappellini. An original will never lose its value. It will stay with you for your whole life and will outlive you, being passed on to the next generation. British artist Jasper Morrison is one of the most acclaimed industrial designers of recent decades. A champion of the “super-normal”, he advocates sober, useful, responsible design. His creations can be found in the Museum of Modern Art in New York and other collections of eminent museums around the world. The Tate chair collection was designed in 2012 to furnish the café in the Tate Modern Gallery in London. In keeping with Jasper Morrison’s “super normal” design philosophy, the Tate chairs stand out for their modest appearance, classic shape and skilfully balanced proportions. They’re composed of a beech plywood seat and a steel tubing base. They draw their charm from the successful interplay of subtly rounded contours and precisely drawn edges. Over the years, the Tate chair has become one of Cappellini’s best-sellers. More than 20 years after the arrival of the original version, the Tate chair has been rejuvenated with new, colourful finishes. The stained beech boasts a stunning, on-trend colour palette. Elegant and minimalist, timeless and comfortable… The Tate chair exudes versatility. This chair will blend into any décor and any environment, whether it’s at home or in public.
